Referred to by Tom Murray of The Edmonton Journal as a “local supergroup”, Ensemble Mujirushi, Edmonton’s leading multimedia experimenters, are launching their first European tour. The tour, generously sponsored by the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and Edmonton Arts Council, includes, among others, performances in Ghent playing for the Rode Pomp, Belgium’s leading New Music, and in Kraków, Poland, at one of Europe’s most prestigious experimental festivals, Audio Art. The concert at TKUC is a “one for the road” performance featuring several new works created by Canadian and international composers for the Ensemble, an incredible cornucopia of sound, modern dance, video, and light.
