Here is a solid piece of writing for a good amateur choir, in a freely tonal and mildly dissonant style. It was first performed at the series of musical garden parties at the home of Con Boland, Edmonton's fine photographer, beginning in 1988. These events were sponsored by the Edmonton Composers' Concert Society, and I still remember them with fondness.
